Q: If you could spend the day with anyone doing anything who would it be and what would you do?
A: If I could spend on day on the water with anyone and doing anything it would be with my grandpa and we would be jigging for white perch (crappie to the rest of the world)
Q: What sound fires you up?
A: The sound that fires me up is the sound of an slide release on a firearm (from my military career), the sound of drag burning, turkey pitching in from the roost or a big buck grunting.
Q: What’s the best day you have had (hunting or fishing)?
A: The best day that I have had hunting or fishing is when my son Austin (then 5 years old) struggled all day and then pulled off a 5 pound largemouth on a frog and went home grinning from ear to ear.
Q: Where is your favorite place?
A: That place that was hard to get to, few would put in the work to get to and the anticipation of the outcome is unknown. That is my favorite place.
Q: What do to continue to stay at the top of your game?
A: Study, prepare and remember what is was like to dream about the opportunities that I have before I had them.
Q: Who do you admire?
A: I admire the anglers that find little success but keep grinding, keep hustling and keep working to find what they are looking for. It is easy to keep digging when you are doing well, I admire those that scratch, bite and claw for every inch and keep putting in the work.
